Intumescent composite sheet is a type of fireproof sealing board that expands when exposed to heat. One side is a layer of galvanized steel plate, and the other side is composed of honeycomb shaped steel wire mesh covered with aluminum foil. The middle layer is made of heat expanding material. This product expands when exposed to fire and releases non-toxic and harmless gases. It is environmentally friendly, pollution-free, and contains no halogen components. Suitable for fire protection of cables of various voltage levels in industries such as power, petroleum, petrochemicals, metallurgy, communication, and construction.

Installation instructions

  • 1. Clean the opening and keep the contact surface clean.
    2. Measure the opening size and cut the composite fireproof board to the appropriate
    size, paying attention to a fixed edge that is 25mm wider than the actual opening size.
    3. If the penetrating object passes through the fireproof board, the board can be cut
    into two pieces and spliced around the penetrating object, or the space for the
    penetrating object can be directly cut out according to the shape in the fireproof board.
    Note that the maximum gap between the board and the penetrating object should not
    exceed 1/2 “(13mm).
    4. The contact surface between the cable seal and the board must be sealed with
    expansion sealant or elastic sealant first.
    5. Use expansion bolts allowed by the specifications to fix the composite fireproof
    board on the surface of the opening. Pay attention to the distance requirements for
    each fixed point. When two boards are installed and used together, expansion sealant
    or elastic sealant can be used to bond the surface of the board.
    6. If it is for maintenance needs, a label can be pasted on
    the edge of the opening.
    7. Repeat the above steps on the other side of the wall to
    install the second panel.
